La Fogata - Seabrook Island

Small, friendly, authentically Mexican restaurant with the best sunset view in Charleston - you could go for the view alone, but the food is very tasty and the service is good. Have gone many times with people who cannot eat spicy food and they are always most accommodating. Their prices are incredibly reasonable, particularly for the Kiawah/Seabrook Island area. We always go here when we are in the area.

The taco was expertly made with perfectly prepared tortillas, meat, and salsa. The barbacoa was flavorful and cooked to perfection. The tortabrot was incredibly tasty, soft, and full of flavor. The sopa was crispy and delicious, and the fried beans were a tasty addition to the meal.

I tried this place for the first time today at their food truck located off Folly Rd. I opted for the giant burrito, which was only $11. I couldn't decide on the meat, so they kindly let me sample 3 options to help me choose. I ended up loving the Barbacoa the most, followed by the Pastor. The staff, consisting of both men and a woman, were friendly and made sure I was satisfied before I left. I was impressed to learn that they hand make their tortillas for tacos, which is a rare find nowadays. Don't hesitate to give this place a try if you come across their food truck. The Barbacoa was absolutely delicious.

The location is truly amazing, with everyone having a view, but the outdoor patio is definitely the standout feature. The service is fantastic and the food is delicious. As a resident of Seabrook for half of the year, we are thrilled to have this restaurant nearby. Definitely give it a try, you will not be disappointed. We need more good restaurants in the area, as Salty Dog is not up to par.
