Wild Olive was recommended by a co-worker as a great Italian restaurant. Always looking for a good Italian food source, we had dinner their. Calamari is the base test for all of our new finds and it was excellent; some of the best we have had. Dinner selections of pasta and fish were very good. The honey flavored dessert pudding was one of the best restaurant desserts I've tasted. Service(Mel) was quick and excellent... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Wild Olive:
Wild Olive is a consistent yet ever-evolving presence on Johns Island. We consider ourselves fortunate to have such a gourmet Italian restaurant so nearby, close to James Island and Kiawah. The special soup on October 3rd was a unique mushroom blend. We plan to return frequently, as we are locals. View all feedback.
The service was outstanding—our waitress was incredibly friendly and attentive, and our food arrived remarkably fast. The dishes are consistently delicious! I highly recommend the calamari, Caesar salad, and chicken parmesan. This is one of my favorite spots for dinner in the Charleston area.
Our table was a small high-top squeezed between the wall and the bar, which would have been manageable, but being six months pregnant made it a bit tricky to get settled. The menu was straightforward, and our waitress was friendly and attentive. We started with the bread and dip as an appetizer; I thought it was nice, but my husband thought it was just okay. I ordered the lasagna, while my husband opted for the bolognese with a side of meatball. Both of us found the meatball to be average, and I wasn’t particularly fond of the lasagna, while my husband didn’t care for his dish either. We ended up swapping plates since I loved his bolognese and he enjoyed my lasagna. Overall, while the food was decent, I probably wouldn’t return to the restaurant.
We absolutely adore Wild Olive! It’s one of our all-time favorite restaurants and it never lets us down. The food, atmosphere, and staff are consistently amazing! You absolutely have to try the smashed fried potatoes – you won’t regret it! I could eat those forever!
Holy cow!!! Make reservations NOW! This is really one of the best restaurants I've ever eaten at. 6 stars wouldn't do it justice. Drinks are amazing, food is some of the best I've ever had, desserts are phenomenal, service was second to none. I would eat here several times a month if I lived here. Please make your reservations a few weeks out to get in.
My family and I dined on a Thursday night in a secluded and well lit corner of a comfortable and tasteful dining area. The staff were all professional, informed, and prompt. Appetizers, meals and dessert were all tastefully prepared. The ravioli and smashedpotatoes were favorites of the table. Great celebratory dinner spot while on vacation. Exquisite experience overall.
