Was BRENDA at Open Range a mag?
As always we enjoyed our lunch at Big Fish and Open Range. We wanted to take our neighbours out for an appreciation lunch and we all enjoyed the 3 course lunch. The comment I heard was when are we going back to have fish and chips again. I am so grateful to have a top notch restaurant close to my home that has been our go to restaurant for 15 plus years don’t change anything. View all feedback.
What Banffite Wanderer dislikes about Open Range:
Drove in from Banff to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary and it was certainly worth the trip. My Arctic Char was exceptional and my wife's tenderloin was tender, perfectly cooked and melt-in-your-mouth delicious. This was our second time at this location and it is fast-becoming a favourite of ours. Highly recommended! View all feedback.
Hostess seated us promptly. Breakfast choices are buffet or menu - we ordered off the menu. Healthy choices are noted on the menu and I had the avocado and poached egg on toast. The entree was delivered within 20 minutes and was served hot. The menu prices are commensurate with a Waldorf Astoria but a bit pricey for the Orlando area.
The food is great at Oscar's and we enjoy frequenting for Brunch, and recommend it to everyone! However, please note that as policy they do not accept reservations - even if you're booking through OpenTable! Seating is based on a first come, first seated basis. Be aware that they will accept an online reservation, with no intention of honoring it if seating is full.
Stuck in Mickey-land for a convention, a group of us were looking for a Sunday brunch spot. Oscar's at the Waldorf sounded like what we wanted and off we went. Although I'm not a lover of buffets, this one looked amazing, with more variety than usual, including a smoked salmon bar, prosciutto bar and honey dripping from a honeycomb! There were a lot of family's with kids, so it was a bit noisy, but that didn't really detract...everything the group of 4 tried, we loved. Only 2 things that were a little strange were that the cost of the buffet only included Mimosas, not **** Marys and there were no Eggs Benedict on the buffet??What impressed me most though was the commitment to making the customer happy. When I got to the salmon bar, it was empty, although two staff members I asked told me it would be restocked. When I mentioned it to our waiter, he came back and said they'd run out, which was disappointing. The manager came over an apologized, said they'd even sent over to the next door Hikton but they were out til Monday...not what I wanted to hear. 15 minutes later the manager appeared with a plate heaped with the best smoked salmon I've had in a long time....THAT is service.
Came in because I just wanted comfort food. I was immediately greeted and taken care of the atmosphere was so nice it it felt like my waiter actually cared about how my day was going. He had the same energy with every person that came in. I am a young women who’s family lives in South America and owns a restaurant, everything about my visit here made me so happy and it felt like I was back with family and very much reminded me of my family’s establishment. I will definitely be back and be recommending this to my friends. The food is absolutely amazing and you can tell each dish is created with so much love. Ordered from them and they completely forgot to bag 60% of my order. The part they did send was the orange/caramel creme dessert which was okay but described as a cookie with no cookie present? The dessert was also very small and the prep time was very long for just desserts. Food: 3 Service: 1 Meal type: Other
