Freshly cooked veg and the crispness chips I have had for a long time that soaked up the lovely thick gravy. Friendly staff and nice pint as well

However, on my s... read more I have eaten at this restaurant every time I have been in the area, and I have always been very satisfied with the quality of food and service. However, on my second visit during this trip to The Borders, I was quite disappointed with the breaded Eyemouth haddock that I ordered. I had inquired before ordering if it would be the same fish as the battered version, and was assured that it would be. However, when it was served, it was significantly thinner and smaller in size compared to the battered version, and it was very dry. Despite this disappointing experience, I would still come back as everything else I have tried has been excellent, but I wouldn't recommend that particular dish.
