I had been eagerly anticipating my visit to this restaurant specifically to try it out. Upon arrival, I was the only customer there, surrounded by numerous staff who were all chatting happily amongst themselves. Despite the fabulous-looking menu, none of the staff seemed interested in taking my order when I approached the counter. I was told to sit down and that they would come to me. As I waited, the place started to fill up with other patrons. Eventually, someone came to take my order and explained that the staff had been chatting because the coffee machine was not working. Unfortunately, they were also out of the item I had come to try. Despite the interesting menu, I was disappointed by the shockingly bad service, especially considering my background in hospitality. I may give them another chance in the future, as the location and menu were great, but the lack of customer connection was evident.
We had a delightful experience enjoying delicious tray bakes, scones, and hot drinks from this restaurant as a takeaway. Everything was freshly made and homemade, ensuring a high level of quality. The staff were also very attentive and helpful.
Had a wee trip down the Borders today a nipped in for some lunch. The young lady serving was very pleasant. The food was delicious, ordered soup and panini and was very tasty.
A busy friendly cafe with fresh baked scones, cakes and bacon rolls. A lovely atmosphere makes you feel at home.
If you are ever in Galashiels and in need of a boostGo along to T 4 2 restaurant where you can have great plates of food ,snacks and great coffeeBut the creme de la creme is the chocolate fudge cake seved with warm cream and a strawberry It is to die for I can`t pass the place without buying!!!!!All served with lovely caring people
Nestled in the heart of Galashiels, this small café boasts a charming ambiance with a quirky interior, friendly staff, and an intriguing menu offering homemade delights, from fresh cakes to tasty light lunches. While many patrons rave about the quality of the food, some experiences reveal inconsistencies in service and cleanliness. Complaints about hair in dishes and inattentive staff have raised concerns, but the café's new management has improved politeness and overall experience. With ample parking nearby, it's worth a visit for those seeking comforting meals and delicious homemade treats, though expectations for service should be tempered.

Lovely cafe. Food is delicious and such thought and detail put into kids meals. (Making my daughter's sandwich unicorn shape was just lovely)....

The restaurant has changed its name and is now under new management. The staff is more polite, the produce is all homemade, and it is fantastic - just as good as before, if not better. It is not trying to imitate what was done before, but rather is original and unique. The overall experience is great and I recommend giving it a try.
The cakes at this restaurant are top-notch, baked fresh every day on site. They offer a fantastic variety of teas and hot chocolates as well. While they also serve other drinks and food options, it's the cakes that truly steal the spotlight.
We visited this restaurant this morning for a small snack. It is a charming place with reasonable prices and the staff, especially Moria, are lovely and always have time for a chat. Keep up the good work!
Had lunch here and was totally impressed. One of those little cafes that has great homemade food and wonderful service. Lovely menu and the food was delicious. Would definitely visit again if in the area.
My friend and I have started popping in here once a week for lunch after a long walk with the dogs! The toasties are absolutely delicious, full of filling and piping hot. Super good coffee too! The cakes look fabulous but we haven’t indulged after being too full up after our toasties! Very good value for money and spotlessly clean a gem of a place in Galashiels right opposite the Tapestry building. Would highly recommend.
