We have been to this restaurant a few times since Euan took over and have always loved our meals. The food is freshly made and tasty, with a good variety to choose from. The prices are fair and the atmosphere is welcoming. The new decor is beautiful, and we plan to visit frequently.
I visited this restaurant for the first time on July 29th, 2021 and I was definitely not disappointed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was cozy with a nautical theme, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I hope to visit again soon.
We drove up from across the border from England to sample the breakfasts and weren't disapointed. You can choose from the full English or full Scottish. The 3 of us went for the latter and were happy with the Lorne (square! sausage, haggis and tattie scone alongside the bacon, eggs, mushrooms and tomatoes. There was also toast and preserves and it nicely set us up for the day. The food was cooked freshly by the very friendly owner. The rest of the menu looks great too, I'll be back to sample the horseshoe gammon. My husband has his eye on an afternoon tea sometime too. The pub has been recently renovated to a very high standard. It's fresh and airy but hasn't lost the character as the old photos and boat signs are still on display. A nice stopping off point just over the border where you'll be made most welcome
The room hadn’t been serviced. Booked for dinner but restaurant closed. A complete disaster and still waiting for a refund! Location: 1
