For starters, I highly recommend the oyster... read more Although Nello's may appear slightly worn around the edges, they serve delicious pizzas and pastas at great prices! For starters, I highly recommend the oysters on ice with lemon and Tabasco, as well as their focaccia with a flavorful green garlic sauce. The pastas come in both penne and spaghetti, and during my visit, I particularly enjoyed the Fusilli in Corozza: a rich tomato sauce with prawns, mussels, and calamari, all grilled with mozzarella (see attached photo). Nello's also features a diverse menu that includes: - Seafood (like hake) - Poultry dishes (including bullet and Cordon Bleu schnitzel) - Grilled options (T-bone, rump steaks, rack of ribs, and Eisbein) - Light meals - Toasties - Combos served with chips - A wide range of pizzas (including Continental, Sylvanna, Pasquale, Paradiso, Ferrari, Popeye, Pirates, Nello's, La Nonna, Marinara, Maria's, and Fabiolo) *Important Note: Don’t make the same mistake I did—Nello's is closed on Mondays. However, there are great specials throughout the rest of the week: - Wednesdays feature a fantastic pizza deal for R60. - On Thursdays, enjoy a sweet and sour pork or chicken chow mein special for R50. - Fridays offer all pastas for just R39. - Saturdays feature curry rice for only R40.
