This was some of the best fish and chips I've ever had, and quite affordable too. The portions are generous, and the seafood is fresh. Where else can you still enjoy your fish and chips wrapped in newspaper? I also appreciated that my vegetarian mom could enjoy fish and chips as well, thanks to Anything Fishy's entire vegan fish and chips menu. In fact, the vegetarian sides were even more impressive than the fish! Unfortunately, we couldn't try their famous crumbed mushrooms because they were out of stock that day. However, the crumbed cauliflower was absolutely delicious. The chips were the kind you dream about—thick, drenched in salt and vinegar, and just perfect. I even enjoyed the leftover chips cold the next morning, and they were still tasty! Crispy on the outside and creamy on the inside, they were well worth the trip to Scottburgh. The shop is a charming little place right on the corner before you hit the beach road, but it's easy to miss; we drove past it the first time!
