We are are a one income family, so when we go out for dinner it has to be great, and it was!! Even the left overs the next day where F'n delicious. My wife and i are very particular with our food when we go out and we both really enjoyed our meals, are kids did too!. I think when the chefs name is actually in the menu, it shows some confidence in his skills and that he actually cares what food he puts out for the pay... View all feedback.
What Saul Okuneva doesn't like about 1812 Grillhouse:
Sunday brunch, service was wonderful, beautiful patio. If it wasn't for the maple syrup, there would be no flavour to the chicken and waffles dish. The chicken had a really nice breaded texture but definitely not the kind of flavour you expect from 'southern cooking'...it was zero. Resorted to copious amounts of salt and pepper to make it palatable. View all feedback.

We stopped in to try something different. The 1812 Grillhouse is near our home but we have never stopped in. The menu has many selections and should meet the tastes of most. There is also a page of specials. I had the bisque and Jambalaya. Both were tasty. The portions are on the larger size so be aware if you are not a big eater. There was live music while we were there. My only concern was the noise level in the restaurant can get loud making it difficult to hear the table conversation. I definitely will return to have a second experience.
We were 9 and we had a great time the service was great and the food even better I had the Jambalaya really well done. This place also had live music which added to the evening. Would surely recommend this restaurant.
We hadn't been to 1812 for a while but it's still a great local spot for anyone in the Newmarket/Bradford area. We were both looking to try something different and DH had their special Jambalaya, we - of course had their Southern Fried Pickles - and I had their delicious Steak sandwich. Although it was extremely busy, we were seated & served quickly and the service was excellent despite the crowd. I always like their live music and we were not disappointed. So glad we have this great spot to enjoy our favourite Southern specialties.
I had such high hopesAfter reading the reviews and looking at the menu online, I was excited.
