Subway - Schenectady
Subway
Description
This location delivers tasty, customizable sandwiches and wraps with a clean, casual setting and convenient access to a Pilot convenience store. Many praise speedy, friendly service and favorites like the turkey-bacon-guac wrap and chicken bacon ranch; the footlong-to-salad option is a plus. However, experiences are inconsistent: some patrons report rude or slow staff, order mistakes, unauthorized extra charges and occasional opening-time issues. Expect good food and convenience when staffed well, but be prepared for variable service.

Excellent choice if you’re looking for a quick meal. Their soup is usually fresh hot. No complaints from
I thought “freshly sliced” meant they slice it when you order it like a Deli. They still have the slices in the buckets like they always have.
They open at 9am, it was 9am, and the woman working there said with a nasty attitude that she doesn't open for another 10 minutes. Lost business with us, with employees like this it's no wonder that subway is going bankrupt.
Without a doubt, the worst customer service I have ever encountered. My boyfriend and I ordered five subs for ourselves and our family, and it was immediately clear that the employee assisting us was not happy to be there. The first two subs were made correctly, but that was because they were prepared by a trainee, not the rude employee. We had ordered all of our subs with American cheese, but he mistakenly used grated cheese instead. When we asked him to correct it, he responded with attitude, poorly scraped off some of the cheese while removing half the meat, and refused to remake the subs. There was still a significant amount of the wrong cheese left on the sandwiches. He claimed we should have specified that we wanted American cheese, but he never even asked if we wanted cheese; he just added it himself. When it came to the toppings, we repeated that they were all the same several times, yet he kept asking about each sub. He became visibly annoyed when he realized they were identical. Throughout the process, he was shaking his head and mumbling under his breath. Then, when it was time to add the sauce, he deliberately put on extra mayo instead of the half portion we requested, clearly out of spite. To top it off, we were charged for the extra cheese we never asked for. Once we got home, we vented about the experience and learned that everyone in our family who had visited that location had a similar encounter with this employee. If you arrive and see the guy with the afro working, I strongly recommend going to a different Subway instead. It's almost guaranteed that your sub will be wrong, and you'll be treated poorly for the mistakes made by the staff.
