Was Mike Dociu at Donut Drop a mag?
What a wonderful spot. I don’t think I’ve had anything but people come up to me at work asking where I got these. So fresh and light and delicious. Can’t wait to get the mochi and ube donuts!!!! UPDATE the ube donuts are out of this world. SO SO SO SO SO SO good. Just stop by. You will not regret it. Unless you stop by after hours. :D View all feedback.
What Jim Duwel dislikes about Donut Drop:
I wish I could say what this place is like, but I've been here 3 times and they've either closed early or are sold out. If you can't get here before noon just don't bother I guess. View all feedback.
Best food: ube donut mit gerösteter kokosnuss, nutella s’mores donut, mochi DonutsOkay/Good food: maple bacon donutthings to note: some days I’ve been in operation was slow, but overall it’s a wonderful place to do just ube donuts when she or someone else pre-orders her. this is the only way to get ube donuts, but they are the best ube donuts I ever had. these are one of the best donuts they can get safely in this area. I loved the nutella s’mores donut. they torture it to get the marshmallow beautiful and crispy. the maple bacon donut was good, but not the best. a wonderful place and wonderful owner. they are family friends with gurnee donuts, and if they weren't there, they must also try them out!
Have made a dozen donuts to work on superbowl and they were great! one of them said they were better than continental bakery in mt prospect.
Donuts are extremely good full of flavor, plus they have a wide variety of different flavors. With Donuts priced well definitely worth every penny. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious Donuts. Let's help support small business because they are the ones that put a lot of Love to what they make.
I wanted something familiar but special to bring to a pot-luck brunch. Donut Drop offers mini donuts on special order, so I called on Saturday morning for Sunday morning pick-up. I was stunned by the size of their minis (they're maybe medium? Very generous! but the flavor won me over. I will definitely go back when I have a hankering for sweet breakfast goodness.
Disappointed I'm not a local and won't be able to make this a regular stop. Excellent service, friendly and helpful employees, loved every second I was in, even just waiting for my sandwiches.
