What FairCityFrasie likes about Russels Fish And Chip Takeaway:
The cod and chips at this restaurant were absolutely delicious - moist, slightly flaky, and cooked in a light, golden brown batter. During a recent visit to Whitby, my experience at this restaurant left a lot to be desired. When I asked a young employee at the takeaway window to fill my dog's water bottle, the proprietor insisted on selling me a bottle of water instead. read moreLocated near the harbor, this bustling restaurant offers a mixed bag of experiences. While some patrons rave about the freshly cooked fish and chips, praising the generous portions and friendly staff, others recount disappointing service and subpar food. Complaints include rude interactions, cold chips, and unaccommodating policies. However, for those seeking quality fish and chips, many recommend trying other local establishments instead. Despite the variance in reviews, an undeniable charm exists in the homemade dishes, emphasizing the restaurant's potential. As with any dining experience, it's clear that consistency remains key to capturing the hearts—and stomachs—of visitors.
