The service and food is exceptional. They’re constantly excellent. We ordered 2 large cod and chips last night and the portions are accurate, it fed 3 of us easily. Staff are really friendly and food is cooked to order. Prices are fair. Can’t recommend enough. View all feedback.

Had fish and chips the other week chips were mostly black been back tonight chips were the same. Sorry but you should not be serving them. Your customers deserve more of a better standard than they are currently getting. I normally recommend this fish shop will not be from now on View all feedback.
Popped in here for our lunch today, we were looking forward to Fish and Chips by the Sea after our walk in Staithes and Runswick Bay, we'd found this place on Google Maps as we were staying in the area. Our Meals were delicious, the Cod in lovely crispy batter, Chips and Mushy Peas were delicious, best we've had in a very long time, will definitely visit again when we're passing. 100% recommended, if you're nearby, go! You won't be disappointed
Probably the best takeaway away fish and chips we've ever had! Gets busy but worth the wait. Highly recommended.
Popped in while passing and got 2 of the small fish and chips. Reasonably priced and good portion size. Crisp and tasty batter, lovely white fish accompanied with nice tasty chips. One of the best places I’ve had fish and chips for a long time, keep up the good work
Always call in here for fish n chips when in Staithes. Always tasty food and great prices, one of the best fish n chip shops I've been too. Scampi is delicious too. 10/10 shop.
Decided to get a chippy on our first night of our holiday as we CBA to cook Well pleased we went to Excelsior. The staff are friendly and efficient and the food is top notch, pro tip Try the black pudding fritters, absolute game changer. The chippy does get busy but in my view that's a good thing as you never go to a chippy without a queue Highly recomend it.
