Contribute FeedbackLocated in a charming area, Aurora offers a mixed dining experience. While some patrons were disappointed by disorganized service and average food quality, others praised innovative dishes and attentive staff. The restaurant's cozy atmosphere can become lively, especially during peak times. Signature dishes, like the pappardelle and lasagna, received high marks for flavor and freshness, while decadent desserts left a lasting impression. Despite some inconsistency, the friendly atmosphere and the owners' engagement create a sense of community. With room for improvement, particularly in service efficiency and ingredient sourcing, Aurora remains a notable option for local diners seeking quality and character.
It wasn't full when we were there. Servers were very attentive. The food was good. More people came in when we were done. There are parking spaces under/under the restaurant. I felt It was very nice of them to warn us that there were car breaks. We have our chances as there is no parking nearby. Car was untouched when we came back.
That was a pleasant surprise. The ambience and location indicate your average Italian family restaurant. But the service was old-style (i.e. impeccable) and the food was just excellent. Each piece shows that the cook cares about itself. This approaches Michelin Star quality. I come from San Jose and don't come to Sausalito. But the price-performance ratio could make me skip San Francisco and cross the bridge for the occasional special dinner in Aurora Sausalito. This is not the place to impress your first date (the ambience is too generic), but it would be a good place to impress your gourmet friend, especially if they like Italian cuisine.
The pizza was great. my friend and I share the Funghi (Mushroom and Sausage). good service too.
Great food and service. We came to dinner and had the caprese, pappardelle Bolognese, chicken parm and bread pudding. Everything was delicious! Caprese was fresh, the Pappardelle noodles were made home, the chicken parm was tasteful and not overly baked, and the bread pudding was decadent with a perfect combination of caramel, ice cream and walnuts. Above all, the owner always greeted us with a smile, and his employees are so friendly and attentive. Eat here and support a local business!
Really cute and cozy place. The staff was really nice and welcoming. I liked the food. I had the fettuccine alfredo with chicken. It was not heavily seasoned, but it was still pretty good. My husband really enjoyed the bruschetta. Nice environment, good music and it had a decent/partial view of the bay. Parking is a little limited though. Highly recommend.
