We waited over 40 minutes for our food, and our server didn't check on us at all or apologize. When the food finally arrived, it was already cold. It seems they only cater well to Spanish-speaking customers.
Our first visit to an IHOP was likely our last due to absolutely terrible service. The greeter directed us to a dirty table and then completely ignored us, despite me trying to get her attention as she leaned against the wall nearby. After some time, we managed to catch another server’s attention, who took our order but then forgot to bring our drinks and water. We had to flag down yet another server, who eventually got our drinks delivered by the greeter. Unfortunately, she just tossed them onto the table and walked away again, still leaving us without water. On a positive note, the food was actually quite good. However, when we paid the bill and left no tip, the same server who had neglected us had the audacity to mention that gratuity was not included. There were other issues as well, and I overheard complaints from other customers. Despite the restaurant not being busy, there was clearly a lack of leadership, and the staff seemed to treat the customers as if they were an inconvenience.
Fran enhances my father's dining experience immensely. At 89 years old, my dad finds comfort in the consistency that Fran provides; she knows him well and understands how he likes his meals. Since he has Alzheimer's, her personalized greeting and familiarity with him make the experience special. I truly appreciate Fran, and she’s the reason I continue to come back as a loyal customer. Good service is important, and the attention to detail makes a significant difference for customers like my father.
It was fine, but they didn't have decaf coffee for those of us who are bothered by caffeine.
