Great meal, with popovers and lots of great food and service. I had a margarita that was wonderful and helped me deal with traffic as a kindhuman. Thank you all so much. We’ll be back!

We arrived and were met by a very grumpy wa... read more Reserved a room for a memorial dinner. The person I spoke to on the phone when making the reservation was very nice. We arrived and were met by a very grumpy waitress. She was impatient, not friendly at all. We had just come from a funeral andshe showed no empathy at all. It was like she was doing us a favor. The absolute worse was after I paid the bill. I assumedfor a party of 15 that the tip was included, I have to say I didn't look closely as I was saying good bye to family, friends asthey were leaving. Well, right in front of everyone she said my name very loudly as she put the bill in front of me and told methat I didn't leave a tip. I was mortified and so embarrassed. I kept apologizing, she said nothing. I ended up giving a verybig tip. Later on I was really angry about the whole situation so I emailed the restaurant. They never responded. I willnever, ever go back. It's no wonder the parking lot is empty most of the time. Old, dated and grumpy, waitress and restaurant. The food was nothing to write home about either.

There really aren’t many places like this left where you can have a quiet dinner in a relaxed atmosphere with great classic food. The popovers and other appetizers are delicious and the drinksare great too. Very experienced waitstaff who know what they are doing.
