Both the server and the cook seem... read more We visited Bains for a quick evening meal. Unfortunately, the service was rushed and poor despite the lack of other customers. Both the server and the cook seemed inexperienced. When I mentioned to the bartender that the service was slow, he acknowledged the issue but took no action to improve it. No one checked in on us after taking our order and our drinks were not refilled. The food, however, was of good quality, with the burgers being especially delicious. But at $15 per burger, the mediocre service was not worth the price. Are you willing to spend $50 on two burgers, drinks, and subpar service? I don't think so. Hopefully the management improves soon.

With the ongoing pandemic and no cl... read more I used to dine at this restaurant regularly, but it had been almost two years since my last visit due to budget constraints. With the ongoing pandemic and no clear end in sight, I decided to make more of an effort to support local restaurants by dining out at least once a month. I chose Bains for my first meal back, and I was thrilled that I did. The Mac and Cheese Bites were a new addition since my last visit and were absolutely delicious—I didn't realize what I had been missing. In addition to that, I ordered a veggie burger, poutine, onion rings, rosemary and garlic cheese bread, sweet potatoes, and veggie kabobs to surprise my friend for an impromptu date night. We had a wonderful meal and will definitely be returning for more takeout orders in the future, and hopefully dining indoors again soon. Thank you, Bain's, for cooking up such delicious home BBQ.

I knew it was worth waiting and it's in those Covid t... read more I ordered a Mr. Bain's Burger for a Friday night. I ordered at 16:15 and was asked to pick it up at 18:00. I knew it was worth waiting and it's in those Covid times to be expected. I wasn't disappointed with my meal. The Hamburger is a meal in itself. I had a side of her fantastic signature potato salad. Food is always consistent. If you drive through Sarnia, it is definitely worth checking!!!

Service was very fast and friendly, fun drinks specialties, tried the Mac n cheese...since for the first time and it was creamy and had an interesting kick. I was surprised by the bill when it came, with 2 meals, upgrades and drinks I expected higher, but it was very reasonable for how satisfied you left. Get back!

There were only a couple little things, including that the mac and cheese is a bit of a...let down we were wishing it was more of a homemade style. But overall, really good service, not very long wait times, and decent food. Not a ton of vegetarian options but I think that's to be expected with a bbq place.
