Was Anonym at Chupi a mag?
a classic of santander. good service and javi (the owner) very nice as always. for the time it was, we did not take the porn of coconut wine, but if you go, do not stop trying it spectacular! rabies, also very rich View all feedback.

What Anonym dislikes about Chupi:
rabas, as always, very rich, but please hire more staff to attend to the terrace. the last day I was a single bartender standing by tables and sweating the fat drop. View all feedback.

Bar Chupi is a small, unassuming local place that was founded in 1941, while Spain was still under Franco's control and the rumblings of WWII were beginning! We had the choice of eating indoors or outside, and we chose the latter. The food was amazing absolutely the best calamares we have had during these two weeks, and we tasted baby scallops (I forgot the Spanish word for the first time (and loved them! . We highly recommend this little bar.

We loved Santander, and the Chupi Bar was one big, unassuming reason why. Down a little side street off the Ave de los Castros but with a sunny terrace onto the main drag, it provided a perfect spot for coffee or aperitif. Best of all, however, was the most delicious beautiful seafood in town served with courtesy, warmth and panache in this plain, down to earth local joint. It made us feel part of the city.

Small locals bar near my hotel. Good selection of drinks and decent basic pinchos hit the mark. No frills, no problem. Recommended.

Great service and excellent English by the attentive server. He recommended the tomatoes (ensalada tomate cantabria), tuna (bonito encebollsdo), mussels (mejillonnes en salsas) and squid (Rabat). Everything in season and all delicious! Best of all was homemade cheesecake and chocolate cake. To die for!
