Jensen's Custom Cakery - SANTA YNEZ

I have been lucky enough to order multiple custom cakes from this establishment. The owner, Brandi, is incredibly creative. Normally, cakes that look great don't taste good, but her cakes are amazing! What sets her apart is her custom designs. I don't know how she comes up with the edible decorations, but they are always a hit at parties. From waterfalls to rivers, she can create anything you ask for. My last cake was western-themed and it was unbelievable. My husband loves her German chocolate cake and we always fight for the last piece!

Despite being in a small town, this family-owned cafe has everything you could possibly want. I wouldn't even consider going to a larger chain restaurant. The service was excellent, not overwhelming. The food was delicious - my wife thoroughly enjoyed her veggie omelet, and the pork chops I had were hard to come by these days. We were on our way from Santa Barbara to San Luis Obispo, and while it was a bit of a detour, it was definitely worth it.

We have been fortunate to enjoy a variety of cakes made by Brandi. These cakes are not your typical bakery cakes - they are all incredibly delicious. Brandi clearly dedicates considerable time and effort into making them unique with the highest quality ingredients she can source. I have to admit, the German chocolate cake is so fantastic that I can't resist diving into it! It's absolutely amazing! These cakes are a special treat for your guests, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Brandi for all your dessert needs.

GERMAN CHOCOLATE CAKE TO DIE FOR ! I have ordered 3 cakes over the past year and all were amazing. The German Chocolate was beyond outstanding and I am going to order it again for a dinner party next month. The icing has these layers and flavors I cannot even begin to describe deep, rich coconut flakes and caramelized pecans that are simply intense, savory and sweet this laid across a bed of dark chocolate ganache and cake with just the right about of bounce (sponge? . Last week I tasted the Coconut Cream and it was that sweet crunchy salty all at the same time the kind that makes you simply want more. I got my 93 year old mom the Double Lemon Curd for her birthday and she said it was simply the best ever real lemon curd made in small batches and the flavors really pop. These are special event cakes (what makes a special event you'll have to decide that make you want to have a special event ! The ingredients are all real and things you will recognize. After one bite you will never want Costco, Albertson, Vons or even normal bakery cakes again. Just be sure you reach out early enough because Brandi gets busy, each cake is custom made and she won't do a rush job... but you will get the best cake ever.
