Our food arrived luke warm and our waitress said she had just picked up from the kitchen so implied we weren’t being honest. Such a highly rated restaurant, our mains were disappointing. View all feedback.
Intimate Restaurant in Cowboy City Santa Ynez. I had dinner with some friends and had a wonderful time. Reservations are a must! And don't remember coming early, the restaurant was even packed at 8:45. Fortunately, there is a sweet fire pit outside and you can wait a cocktail / wine while waiting for a table. Food was amazing. I had eaten artichokes and they did it well. Her pea salad was shared with the whole table and it was a hit! The servers were extremely helpful and knew the menu well so that really good recommendations could give. The 8:45 Crowd is a bit gross, so if you are looking for a quiet dinner, maybe an earlier time is better? String Lights and Dimm Lights set the mood for something special and it fulfilled its promise of a special evening.
Had the pizza and beet salad, both were delicious. Pizza crust was on point, crisp and airy with that slightly chewy center you come to expect from Neapolitan style pizza. Beet salad was fresh and light. Loved my cappuccino!
We had an incredible meal at SY Kitchen, from start to finish. It was made even better by our server, Matthew, who elevated the entire experience he provided some of the best service that we have encountered on the West Coast.
Incredible dinner. We heard about this place online when looking for places to venture out while in the area and couldn?t have been more blown away at the quality of the food. We were seated promptly to a table near the kitchen. The service was quick to bring us menus for dinner and cocktails. The cocktails were spot on for the start of a great evening. We started our dinner with salads that were awesome and had unique twists. The main course steak special was one of the best steaks I?ve had. It?s was perfectly cooked and cut off the bone already on top of a bed of potatoes then topped with porcini mushrooms. I don?t usually eat mushrooms but this time I cleared the plate. The wild mushroom pasta was perfectly seasoned and cooked. Topped with red pepper flakes and parmesan. We concluded dinner with the gelato and creme brûlée which was the perfect send off to a great dinner. The creme brûlée was an interesting twist with pistachio and the flavors totally worked. The gelato was also a great pairing with the creme brûlée. Will definitely come back when back in the area.
Delicious meal, efficient and friendly service, and a nice atmosphere. I had been told to try the restaurant for several years, and I finally got there. It's a bit out of the way for my trips to wine country, but I've found a new option!
