The best steakhouse in New Mexico. The prime rib is glorious, the most delicious I've ever had. The dining room makes a date extra special in a booth. I want The Bull Ring to be my last meal. Thank you Marvin for the wonderful service! View all feedback.
What Nicklaus Gusikowski doesn't like about Bull Ring:
Food was great lady who sat us down was nice verbally, however her face said we did not belong there we were more dressed casually so I understand that so she sat us in the back nice and hidden next to the well dressed Indians only fitting since everyone was white in the restaurant. She asked if we had a reservation we didn't she seemed hesitant to even sit us down. But besides that nice place. I love the guessing ga... View all feedback.
This is a lovely upscale steakhouse, ideal for special occasions and indulgent meals. The ambiance is excellent, creating a perfect setting for celebrations. The service was decent, though nothing out of the ordinary. The food was delicious and great for sharing.
I left feeling disappointed after my visit to this restaurant. While nothing was terrible, nothing stood out as exceptional either. The service was surprisingly inconsistent during our visit—some steaks were undercooked while others were overcooked, the food lacked flavor, and our dishes arrived at odd intervals. Overall, the quality of service and food felt more like a mid-range restaurant than a fine dining experience. The one highlight was the loaded baked potato, which was cooked perfectly and quite delicious. However, given the rest of our experience, it isn’t enough to make me want to return.
This was our final visit, and it was undoubtedly one of the worst dining experiences we've ever had, not just in Santa Fe but anywhere. The service was deeply disappointing. One of our steaks was forgotten, which meant we couldn't all enjoy our meal together. The Lyonnaise potatoes were tasteless, and the shrimp cocktail tasted old and off. The salads were served split, even though we hadn't requested that. We were left with dirty utensils on our table throughout the meal, and the waiter never returned to check on the food's quality. After this experience, we will not be returning to the Bull Ring. There were only five other tables occupied in the whole restaurant, and there's no way this place has legitimately won "best steak" in Santa Fe for several years—it clearly seems this recognition was bought.
Everything is more expensive in Santa Fe, and I know this when I go out to eat there. Even so can somebody please tell me what's the market, and what's the price? These are the questions I really want to ask when I see this on a menu. Especially when an 8oz petite filet runs $48 bucks, and everything here is a la carte. I had a salad and a bowl of green chili (which was good) but I couldn't bring myself to order anything more after deciding that my wallet just couldn't handle the abuse. I can certainly afford a fine meal if I want, but unless I am celebrating becoming recently divorced I can't justify it. Three people, and one with just a salad and a bowl of chili ran the bill to well up over two hundred smackaroos. If you are wanting a good meal but don't care about impressing people by being seen coming out of this fine establishment, I would suggest any of the other options of fine food at more reasonable prices available in town.
This place offers everything anyone could ask for in a steak house. I could go on and on about all that one could in a review but in this review I want to point out my waiter. I have traveled around the world , this country and have eaten in food from peoples trunk to Michelin star restaurants. I have endured many types of service and I will say Marvin is one of the best I have come across. If I owned a restaurant I would have offered him a job in a heart beat. I would want him to run my place and train all of my employees in the art of service . I do not know what his ambitions are but sky is the limit with that young man.
