Don’t miss this lovely place if your traveling in Sicily. Situated on a working buffalo farm this restaurant is a treat, pens of magestic healthy buffalo and a fully operational cheese making factory make this a very interesting evening adventure. Food is excellent, service great and the fresh creamy buffalo mozzarella in large plaits on each table is to die for, very enjoyable experience. View all feedback.
Dinner with friends in a Augustinian evening in this farm that raises the buffalo and that offers inside the restaurant I follow all the menu based on company products. They had us sit on the porch, really nice place. very efficient and very fast staff in serving the fixed menu that costs euro all inclusive if you do not eat meat, euro supplement per head if you also like it. However, in a few minutes, the table filled with olives, buffalo salami, braid ( huge) of buffalo mozzarella, two burrates, tomato salad, focaccia, mozzarella in carrozza, pizza, meat, stew and cannoli. The apotheosis! useless to say that the next morning. Breakfast's gone!
Simple but well maintained local, adjacent to the buffalo farm, with possibility to eat inside and outside. the menu develops around the cheese products of buffalo such as the braid and burrates accompanied by sausages of olive and cheese. good buffalo steak and buffalo steak. delicate small cannoli served as sweet. friendly staff and professional quick service. prices suitable for the excellent quality of the products. I find ingenious the oo of useless buffalo meat for the purpose of dairy production by optimizing costs.
This place was amazing! Friendly staff and the food... Incredible! I've never tasted such tasty burrata and mozzarella di bufala. This wonderful eatery is definitely worth a visit and we're already looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommended!
Service is quick and staff is very attentive. We were seated at a table with a view on the surrounding farm land and cattle. Set menu of primi piatti at €20pp was abbundant and very satisfying. We were served different delicious in-house cheeses and salami, foccacce, pizza squares and tomatoes. Coupled with some red house wine to wash it down, it made for a beautiful meal. Some of my friends tried the steak and rib-eye as secondi piatti but were unimpressed by the thinness of the steak and the fibrous and tough texture of the rib-eye. Best stop at the primi. Farm shop for buying in-house prepared delicatessen also available on site. Overall a very good experience.
We come to Sicily every year and have had many outstanding experiences. Magazze is one of our favorites. The setting is lovely and evocative of this part of Sicily. Besides buffalo, the farm has goats, sheep, donkeys, and horses. While dining, you can watch them graze. The food is superb and service good. I disagree that foreigners are treated differently. If you make the effort to be as hospitable as are the Sicilians, you’ll be happy with how you are treated.
