Great Lakes Grinders - Sandusky

Stopped on a whim while fishing in Shoreline Park. Man, was I pleasantly surprised! I had the Pizza grinder and it was phenomenal. The bread was toasted to perfection and the ingredients were top notch. The loads of crushed red peppers along with the banana peppers on top were perfect! I was so impressed, I decided to get a grinder for my mother who doesn't have much time to cook while she cares for my elderly father. The owner gave me tips on how to warm up the grinder and prepared it a way so that my mom could warm it up in the oven without sacraficing quality. Talk about personalized service! I could tell he was passionate about his business. His s/o Becky actually tracked me down while I was fishing to bring me my food, and Jojo the cook did a fantastic job assembling my grinder. The cost of each grinder is a tad high, but for the location and exceptional service, I'd gladly pay it every time. I highly recommend this hidden treasure!

I tried the Italian Grinder for lunch today, and boy oh boy it was delicious! My mother got the turkey grinder and loved him. You have to manage a large website for easy online order, wait. We took the sandwiches home, but they have a lot of outdoor seating available. We also have sides of potato and pasta salad. The potato salad was incredible, I wasn't a big fan of dressing on the pasta salad, but my mother really enjoyed it. Do not forget to add a package of cookies to your order! I'm definitely back.

Okay, if you want to have one of the GREATEST sandwiches in your life, then stop by Great Lakes Grinders! Everything is hand made and delicious! I?ve enjoyed nearly the entire menu and I can?t have a favorite, because everything is so wonderful. ?

This place never disappoints! This is a great addition to the downtown area and the Shoreline Park. The sandwiches are made with such precision and care and the employees are always so nice, even on the days they are so busy. You always let me feel like the only customer? this place is a certain must when you are in the city center!

We have lunch from Grinders today. My wife has the turkey club and I have the Italian. It was absolutely incredible! The bread was fresh, the meat and all the vegetables upstairs were perfect. I like bread especially. We're never disappointed, we can't wait to go back. Thank you.
