My boyfriend and I stopped for lunch on a Sunday after our trip to Kelly's Island. They don’t have a Sunday liquor license, but the food is so good you won’t even care. We began with corn nuggets, which are breaded and fried kernels of corn—delicious! Then we shared the brisket bowl, featuring cheesy macaroni, baked beans, and tender, smoky brisket. The flavors blended perfectly, with none overpowering the others. It’s the perfect comfort food, especially for curing a hangover. I can’t wait to return next time I'm in the area!

We sampled the pork, brisket, ribs, mac and cheese, yams, and beans, and everything was fantastic! The woman at the counter was very helpful and even walked me to my car! It's the little things that truly make a difference!
