The friendly staff instantly welcomed us, the place was clean and had plenty of space for me to feel comfortable with my kids there and they even put one of the TV screens to a kid show without us asking. The food was absolutely delicious!!!! You can taste the hours of love and skill put into the food from the very first bite and even the pickiest of eaters could not deny. We will definitely be adding this to our list of go to spots.

We also go the baked Mac and cheese which was really good as well. Super happy about the service as well. Feels like a good mom and pop shop style. We will for sure be back.

We’ve been in before the p... read more Stopped in today w my family, for a birthday dinner for my step son. This was not our first visit. We’ve been there approx 4-5 times. We’ve been in before the pandemic, on busy weekend nights. We’ve now been in during the pandemic, on a not so busy night. let me say, we are MORE THAN pleased with our dinners!! EVERY.SINGLE.TIME!! ALWAYS freshly made. The meats are out of this world delicious and tender!! Literally the perfect amounts of sauces! Everything was absolutely wonderful! I would give this place a million thumbs up! Well worth using a Benny for my family of 5!! ???? i must say that other than the food being amazing, I LOVE how my little one was served before the rest of our food was done! It takes my three year old a little bit longer to eat, and she usually can’t sit still long enough to wait for her food. I can’t wait to take my family from out of town, out to dinner! I am also shocked at the cleanliness of the restaurant! Great job Derrick’s Diner!!! We WILL be back!! I also was sure to do a google review as well!!

My boyfriend and I stopped for lunch on a Sunday after our trip to Kelly's Island. They don’t have a Sunday liquor license, but the food is so good you won’t even care. We began with corn nuggets, which are breaded and fried kernels of corn—delicious! Then we shared the brisket bowl, featuring cheesy macaroni, baked beans, and tender, smoky brisket. The flavors blended perfectly, with none overpowering the others. It’s the perfect comfort food, especially for curing a hangover. I can’t wait to return next time I'm in the area!
