Feedback
The Bear's Head is a charming restaurant with beautiful log fires, warm ambiance, and a great menu to choose from. While some diners found the soup and mini puddings to be delicious, others were disappointed by the lack of availability of certain menu items. Some customers also noted issues with the Sunday Roast Beef being too red and the parsnip being too hard. However, most patrons praised the carefully prepared and tasty food, friendly staff, and welcoming atmosphere of the pub. Overall, The Bear's Head seems to be a popular choice for a delightful dining experience in Sandbach.
Nice pub grub, from a smallish menuLow ceiling beams make this a nice cosy pub, with plently of seating.
Fabulous pub with loads of character. Food is carefully prepared and presented and tasted great. Warm and friendly rooms and open fire make it welcoming on a chilly winter's day.
My wife and I have recently moved to Sandbach so decided we would book Sunday lunch at the Bears Head. It exceeded our expectations, the food was absolutely first class and the staff where so friendly and helpful. The pub is very old with a great ambience and atmosphere, we were so impressed that before leaving we booked a table for 2 for lunch on Boxing Day! Also the prices where excellent considering the standard of food. I would recommend the Bears Head.
I visited here for a family members special occasion and I chose it being the only vegan. I’m not the biggest fan of vintage inns as I feel they have the most basic began menu with the token vegan options of falafel and a vegan curry which are overpriced. The food is average at best with limited pudding options and the service, just like other vintage inns I’ve visited is very very slow.
I went to the Bear's Head with my sister for Sunday lunch on 30 October 2022. I went along with a resigned attitude thinking I would be having the burger as usual. Anyway, as our waitress was so nice and obliging, I asked if I could have the burger (without the bun) as part of a vegan Sunday lunch and she said, of course! It was amazing. Vegan gravy, vegan roasties, loads of vegetables and vegan Yorkshire pudding. I was so happy. They also do a very good vegan crumble and soy custard. I was a very happy bunny. I'm always looking for vegan Sunday lunches and the Bear's Head didn't disappoint.
