What a lovely restaurant! It has so much character and charm. The staff was all very friendly and knowledgeable. I appreciated the new menu, which clearly marks gluten-free options, so there was no need to ask for anything additional. They also offer gluten-free beer and lager. The food was fantastic! I had the cheese and onion pie, which was delicious. Plus, they provide vouchers for each meal, allowing you to collect six for a free meal. If it weren't so far away—an hour and a half—I would definitely be a regular! I might even consider relocating!
Enjoyed a lovely GF Sunday lunch complete with a Yorkshire pudding and sticky toffee pudding for desert, all delicious. There is a very good selection of GF options and also a separate menu that shows all the allergens so you can easily choose what is safe for you. The staff are knowledgeable about coeliacs and helpful answering questions. I will definitely return.
The restaurant is accredited with Coeliac UK. Staff are full trained and knowledgeable about coeliac. The majority of the menu is gluten free, best meal I have out in ages.
The menu is very clear, with all allergens clearly indicated for each dish. The restaurant itself is beautiful and filled with history. The food was delightful, and the service was impeccable!
The food here is excellent! I highly recommend the pie! I've visited this pub several times, and the service has always been great, with staff demonstrating fantastic knowledge.
