Ate here 3 times with a family of 8 including 3 young children and were not disappointed with any of the meals. Staff were friendly and welcoming and views are beautiful especially from the balcony where we sat for our 3rd and final meal in Tuscany. Pizzas were excellent as was the pasta but pride of place goes to the steak with rocket and Parmesan. Huge and beautifully cooked on all 3 occasions. We were able to buy... View all feedback.
What Rodolfo Grassi doesn't like about Il Grotto:
We visited as a group of 16 people. The upstairs terrace was a nice location, there was a varied menu and the food was very good. However, the food did not come out at all at the same time I had ordered a pizza and a side salad the pizza arrived 25 minutes before the salad! And other friends sitting opposite me did not receive their meals until after I had finished eating. Hopefully it would be better in a smaller gr... View all feedback.
Beutiful terrace, with great staff, and very good pizza. Best place we ate throughout our journey. The food is made with authentic ingredients.
Excellent food! We visited twice as it was so good. Would recommend the wild boar pasta, tagliatelle con fungi and pizzas/ calzone. The house white wine was lovely too and sparkling. The tiramisu was delicious. The pizzas were huge! Great price, beautiful views and very friendly attentive staff.
This restaurant has a fantastic long history and it shows in the quality of the food. The staff were so friendly and we chose this as the restaurant to return to at the end of our holiday. Opt for the rooftop seating for stunning view ps over the mountains (if it’s warm). On a final note, the ice cream was out of this world and definitely one of the best (if not THE best) I’ve ever had! Make sure you keep enough room for deserts!

We were able to buy ice cream from the attached shop and eat it at our table which was a nice touch . House wines were good and extremely well priced. Highly recommend a visit.
It was great to be back enjoying Il Grotto's fantastic pizzas. Such a nice atmosphere, lovely family and very nice views
