The Grill House - San Luis Obispo

I'm not sure why I hadn't checked out this place before, but I am definitely making it a point to stop here from now on. We frequently visit Slo, so it's surprising that we haven't come here before.

There aren't many German restaurants in the area, so this place was a great option for a quick snack. They had a good selection and the menu seemed intriguing. We ultimately decided to give it a try.

My friends and I wandered through the downtown area of Slo and stumbled upon a restaurant with the irresistible aroma of grilled meat and French fries wafting through the air. We were immediately intrigued.

I absolutely love this place! It may be small, but it has a decent sized bar. They offer a variety of good German beers, as well as some local options. The menu features a wide selection of delicious German dishes and tasty appetizers. I highly recommend trying the sampler. The carving, bratwurst, and burgers are all especially delicious. The waitstaff even adds to the authentic feel by wearing classic dirndls. I find myself coming back to this restaurant frequently.

I absolutely adore the mustard platter, which comes with 5 different mustards to try alongside bratwurst and delicious fresh rolls. It's definitely my favorite appetizer. The carving is also fantastic. This is the only place I've found that truly takes me back to my time stationed in Germany.
