Mestiza - San Luis Obispo

The atmosphere is fantastic for both groups and intimate dinners for two. The bar area is separate from the dining space, which helps keep the noise levels pleasant. There are also heated outdoor seating options available. The food was excellent and beautifully prepared. The servers were friendly, quick, and contributed to a wonderful experience. I tried the Carne Asada Tacos, and they were delicious! The margarita was great as well.

I enjoyed some delicious tacos along with refreshing drinks at this restaurant. I tried the Desperado cocktail, as well as both Carnitas and Carne Asada Tacos. The tacos are slightly larger than typical street tacos, making them a satisfying meal when paired with an appetizer. The atmosphere has a cozy Mexican theme, reminiscent of a laid-back cantina. They offer a nice cocktail menu along with a solid selection of beers. It’s a lovely spot to take a break and unwind between local activities.

The prices reflect the incredible quality of the food, but I believe they are reasonable. The Mezcal cocktail I tried was excellent, so I plan to order their drinks without hesitation in the future (I'll just point to the menu). As for the service, it mirrors the stylish decor: absolutely top-notch. I felt a bit out of place in my workout clothes, so I recommend dressing up for a date night.

Best food in town! Love enchiladas, drinks and desserts. It is a must to stop when you are in SLO.

Just had a delightful eve at this restaurant! Came in for happy hour appetizers in the bar left later after wonderful food drink service. The food is Oaxacan menu with such a variety of delicious flavors. The bar tender/waiter explained the choices their beginnings so wonderfully. My margarita was one of the best ever. The ambiance fantastic! I felt like I was in a San Francisco restaurant!! We can’t wait to go back!
