What Alexandra T doesn't like about Proper Food:
This place just reopened and despite the expensive and good food they've managed to hire discouraged workers that don't give a s**t. I was trying to use a coupon I got from them and the worker clicked on it on my phone and then clicked away so the coupon disappeared.. ended up paying for my sandwich that I regret now cause it completely ruined my day. I love how clean the place is. I come in to get sandwiches and wrap sometimes. Their staff are friendly.

3.5 stars for Proper Food, which reminded me of Urban Remedy, but with larger portions and carb options. After eating not-so-healthy food all week, I decided I needed to eat cleaner for lunch, so I went here. There are a lot of options from salads to grain bowls to hot food that needs to be reheated. It took me a while to figure out what to go with, but I decided on the Lemon Quinoa Salad with Chicken, which included spinach, tomatoes, olives, feta, and a lemon vinaigrette. What you see is pretty much what you get as far as flavor. I thought their dressing needed an extra mmph to wow my tastebuds...more salt (and I never say that) or herbs to bring it to another level. It wasn't bad at all, but I thought it also needed texture (i.e. almonds, seeds). The other thing that I would have liked is nutritional information on the packaging as the food seems to be geared more towards healthier food eaters. Just a thought.
Good spot for quick grab-and-go breakfast and lunch. For breakfast, I've only tried their breakfast burritos, which are filling but not super heavy or greasy. I love the chicken enchiladas for lunch and the grilled octopus salad is really good too! They'll also heat up food for you, which is nice.
My first time trying Proper Food. The ingredients were really fresh in the Quinoa Tabouli Salad with Chicken $13) and Green Tea Soba Noodle with Sesame Chicken $14), and they were good sized portions.
