The Beach Chalet Brewery and Restaurant consistently delivers a great dining experience. Two of my lunch companions ordered the Clam Chowder, which was both delicious and rich. The batter on the calamari was the most delicate and flavorful I’ve ever tasted. My husband and I were pleased with our sandwiches as well. We indulged in a marvelous dessert that vanished too quickly for me to snap a photo. Plus, the view of... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Park Chalet Garden:
We had a late lunch here and the food was good. It's a bit pricy for what you get but that's true about everywhere in SF these days. $23 for a sandwich, $13 forabowl of soup, crazy. Anyhow I had the fried chicken sandwich and my husband had the burger. My SIL had the minestrone soup and my BIL had fish and chips. My fried chicken had a nice crunchy coating and the chicken was moist. There was a lot of bun and a bit o... View all feedback.
Ten of us gathered here for an after work social without a reservation and they were gracious enough to put a few tables together for us; that in itself says a lot about a place! The wait staff there was friendly and welcoming and the Happy Hour menu was great and very affordable with delicious bar bites. I don't drink alcohol, but others were happy with their lemon drops, passion fruit mojitos, spicy margaritas, beer, wine, and whatever else they were drinking at, seemingly, reasonable prices draft beers for $4, cocktails for $9, and wines for $7). My concentration was on the food and it definitely didn't disappoint!! Most of us ordered something to munch on from the Happy Hour menu btw, HH runs from 4 to 6 Monday through Friday). I ordered the Buttermilk Fried Calamari $8) and it was fantastic; crunchy crust that wasn't oily at all with tender calamari. I tasted a coworker's Crudo Trio $18) and it was so fresh and delicious! The three items included were tuna poke with truffle ponzu, salmon in a lemon calabrian chile vinaigrette, and a mixed ceviche that included tender calamari. You could also just order one of the items for $7, but the each of the three items was so good that it would be hard to choose just one! Another coworker and I exchanged a chicken wing for some of my calamari and the wing was just as delicious as the other offerings; tender, saucy, and spiced just right! Others ordered the Tacos $7), but I didn't have a chance to take any pictures. The way they were devouring them, though, they must have been good!! They were offered with carne asada or chicken and came with tortilla chips and pico de gallo; what a bargain! We chose to sit inside the well lit wonderful glass enclosed area, but on a warm day it would be fun to sit outside surrounded by the greenery of the park. A beautiful venue with an affordable and delicious Happy Hour menu; I'll definitely be back!
A little below mediocre food. Wait staff were very nice. I would recommend going their for a beer outside but not for food
The best part of this place is its location; you can go for a stroll on Golden Gate park and wrap up your walk with some lunch/dinner here. On a beautiful sunny day, this place is well worth the visit. The food is pretty good and theres a nice selection of beers. We've been here a couple of times and almost always go with the steak and frites and the blonde ale. Service has always been good, theres parking in front of the restaurant as well as in nearby areas and it's pet friendly!
Huge stop. Outdoor and indoor area. I did make an reservation 1 month in advance for mother's day. The chef there is super talented and hard working. The waitress and wait staff is on point. We tried many appetizers. The food is delicious and on point. Fresh oysters, scallops, drinks, etc. i will be back to try more food. Esp. When they have happy hour!

Anyhow I had the fried chicken sandwich and my husband had the burger. My SIL had the minestrone soup and my BIL had fish and chips. My fried chicken had a nice crunchy coating and the chicken was moist. There was a lot of bun and a bit of a spead that was good but there wasn't much of it. Most of the flavor was from the pickled jalapeños. My husband said his burger was average. The best part was the pickled onions. My SIL said that the minestrone that she makes at home was better than what she had. My BIL really likes their fish and chips. He was happy with his dish.
