the ravens here are so good. it is full of sweet and many fixations, so that they can adjust the spicy level to their lust. I asked about the broth and yes, it is vegan and clearly characterized, they make order vegan options very convenient. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Underbelly:
I LOVE ramen and eat it as often as possible. On a recent trip to San Diego, I found this place and was really excited to try it. The broth tasted very off to me. Super salty, a tiny bit smoky, but no other flavors to round everything out. It was honestly hard to keep eating. Gideon and the other server (whose name we unfortunately missed) were incredibly friendly and welcoming. They provided helpful guidance on how to place our orders and offered excellent recommendations. They were also delightful to converse with. The restaurant had a cozy and inviting atmosphere, even when dining outdoors during the winter. We look forward to returning the next time we're in town!
This restaurant is a fantastic choice for delicious ramen. It may not be the best option for a date night due to the loud music playing, but if you're looking for a quick meal, the tempo of the music will keep you eating at a good pace. For those who enjoy people-watching, grab a seat at the counter. Be sure to order your food before finding a place to sit.
The ramen at this restaurant is pretty good, but they only offer four options. They also play the same three songs on repeat, and the place is quite small. The tables are often dirty.
The service was very good and friendly. The Athmosphere was nice, but the horrible music ruined it. Food was good
Chicken Ramen was really good and flavorful. The veggie Ramen lacked salt and wasn't great. The Nashville Bao Bun was also dry. The staff is super friendly and extremely nice. The location is good too. One thing to keep in mind is that this is a bar so the indoor seating will be really loud. Choose outdoor seating if you want lesser noise.
