Highlights included the seafood pasta and meatballs, as well as generous wine pours. Customers enjoyed dishes such as veal parmigiana and shrimp scampi. The cozy family atmosphere was a plus, although some found the portions to be overwhelmingly large. Overall, the restaurant received praise for its delicious food, particularly the lentil soup, and attentive service. With a variety of Italian dishes on the menu, it's a spot worth trying for an authentic dining experience.
We loved our meal here! Everything we ordered was delicious! The Cannelloni was the best we ever had. I can't remember our server name, but he was great! He was attentive, friendly and cared for us. We're not from the area, we'd definitely eat again.
Genuine Italian food. Delicious, large portions, better than reasonable price considering the portion size and wonderful meals. We always have leftovers. We had only from here due to restrictions when Covid made it terrible appearance, we planned to eat her next time, we will see what the next weeks should be....
Great place! Servers have intention to details. Food was very good and one of the rare place where your pizza is well garnish.
The Shrimp Puttanesca is a divine dish. The Caesar Salad is excellent- I asked for anchovies as an addition it was perfection. The ambiance is lovely, prices are reasonable enough; what I appreciate about The Venetian is the consistency in the quality of their food- it’s always delicious, whatever you choose to order. Highly recommend, good for a date night fyi.
I had an absolutely fantastic experience at the Venetian. This spot tucked away in Point Loma is a hidden gem for amazing Italian cuisine in San Diego. I made a reservation in advance online, and we were seated right away in a comfy booth. It was pretty busy on a Friday night, but the service was quick and friendly. We started off with free garlic bread which tasted homemade. For an appetizer, we split a caesar salad which was dressed to perfection and was honestly one of the best I have had in San Diego. For my entree, I got the shrimp scampi which was HEAVENLY. The crispy butterflied shrimp on top of thin linguini and buttery sauce created impeccable layers of flavor. My boyfriend got the chicken parm, and that was even better than the shrimp scampi! Fresh ingredients masterfully crafted here some of the best Italian food I have had outside of Italy! Definitely recommend for your next date night or special occasion.
