What User doesn't like about The Mad Beet:
I once went here and ordered an açaí bowl, there was only one person working in the kitchen and I saw her make a pack with a kind of deli meat * touch the meat with her hands*, then continue my açaí bowl *um the fruit with her hands* and was not her hands in between. I was so disgusting, I'll never go back. View all feedback.
I absolutely adore The Mad Beet! They serve the best acai bowls in San Diego without a doubt! This hidden gem in Pacific Beach is now under new ownership, and the owner goes above and beyond to take care of their customers. The customer service is exceptional, with clear and fair pricing. Even during busy times, I never have to wait too long for my acai bowl. If I could give them a higher rating, I definitely would!
I am giving The Mad Beet 2 stars because the smoothie and juice I ordered were good. However, the staff member had a bad attitude and the menu items were very overpriced. You don't know the total cost until you are about to pay, and I ended up spending over $30 for a vegan smoothie and fresh juice. As a local who likes to support my community, I am disappointed and will not be returning to The Mad Beet.
Although it's only my second visit, I'm already planning to become a regular at this place! I absolutely adore going there because it exudes such a positive atmosphere, and everyone is consistently friendly. The juices, drinks, and food they offer are all incredibly delicious, and you can truly taste the exceptional quality of the ingredients they use. It's evident that they prioritize the use of high-quality ingredients, which is truly commendable. The establishment is well-managed and consistently maintains its high level of quality. I've attached a picture of the Artik Monkey, which was unbelievably good!
Amazing choices of smoothies on the menu.Horribly understaffed (two people working on a Sunday morning).Cashier, who also makes the food, seems to prioritize Uber eats orders over customers standing in line for a while. If you order in house here you may be waiting a while to have you order taken, and then another while to get your food.Music on their boombox is extremely crude (lyrics you definitely would not want to have your children a hear) and loud.Still won't stop coming here because the smoothies are good and variety of choices is amazing.(edited to correct spelling)
The staff is unhappy and underpaid at this restaurant. Most of the sales go towards paying the rent. It is disappointing because this place is one of the few places where you can get fresh vegetable juice.
