The Arizona Cafe - San Diego

The service was awful; both my group and the one next to us were completely overlooked by the bartender. It seems he only pays attention to locals. Rating: 1/5.

Sometimes a bartenders make the place. This bartender was not very personable. Tried to make conversation but he only had short answers. I guess you have to be a frequent patronage to feel welcomed. We were excited to visit the place since we just flew in from AZ. It's been over 3 years since we've been back to CA. We will still enjoy our stay here in San Diego.

After a fun evening of partying and singing at The Shout House downtown we rolled back to Ocean Beach to get our grub on. We were directed to the Arizona Cafe by an intoxicated jolly fat man who seemed to know what he was talking about. He was 100 percent spot on. Very fun loud local dive bar with pool tables and ambience. We each had a dog of our choice and some chili cheese fries. Only one word.....WOW! Cold beer, friendly knowledgeable staff, and pub food worth raving about. We will be going back in the near future.

I had a fantastic experience at The AZ! The atmosphere was lively with pool tables available, and the burgers and beer were delicious, all without any waiting in line. Food rating: 5/5.

I've been coming here for ages, and the pool table still has the same worn spot! The beer, food, crowd, and music are all great. It's just a short distance from the beach, but it's definitely worth seeking out this fantastic tavern/pub. The wings are excellent! Food: 4/5.
