Tajima Japanese #2 - San Diego

This was my fourth visit to this restaurant. It’s an hour's drive from my house, but it’s definitely worth it. This is, hands down, the best ramen I've ever had. Everything is fresh, not canned, and it has just the right amount of spice, bursting with flavor. The staff is very friendly and professional, taking their jobs seriously without the eye-rolling you often see in other places these days. Keep up the great work!

I appreciate how this restaurant incorporates all the essential features of a great Japanese dining experience, yet it offers a more concise menu where every dish feels like a signature creation. The drink selection follows the same concept—there aren't a lot of options, but each one is a notch or two above what you'd typically find elsewhere, and the prices are surprisingly lower than average. It's truly a unique and impressive concept. Everything we tried was excellent.

The food is absolutely delicious! I was pleasantly surprised by their sushi as well. I really enjoyed the cocktails too.

Great ramen! Perfect for cold days. The spicy sesame is unbelievably good! Opted for the tajima with chicken this time and was super pleased. Will definitely be back! Matcha peach iced tea is also ace!!!

Tried their ramen and it well compares to other ramen places like Nishiki and Underbelly. Definitely on my list of to go places from now on.
