Maybe because of inflation? Large bowl, the former 5 servings of fish, now has only 4 for the same price. You can request an additional scoop, but additional fee is added. The food here is always fresh and incredibly delicious; Prices reasonable. I wish there was a restaurant in East County. I treat myself when I'm in the Kearney Mesa area. Love this place! I stood there waiting, while the employees just screwed around then when they finally helped me they purposely took their time. Then they screwed up. My order had to return it. They couldn’t understand why they couldn’t just add crab to my ball. Ended up just asking for a refund. They didn’t know how to refund my money. Let me just start and say I wish I could give this place 5 stars but unfortunately I cant. The reason being is in the past 2 years they have raised their prices twice with the most recent being a big increase. I can no longer justify paying almost $17 for a small poke bowl! I can go somewhere else and get way more food for my money. I'm sad to cross off this place as my go to poke place. I was a regular and loved the convenience of ordering on the app and by passing the long lines. But $17 is insane to pay for a small bowl that is mostly rice and a few small scoops of fish. Good bye it was a nice ride while it lasted but your greed destroyed our friendship and I must move on.
I've visited this restaurant around five times, and I enjoy my experience every time. For just $11, you get a generous portion of poke, and toppings like avocado and crab meat are included at no extra charge! They really know what they're doing here—the fish is always fresh and tender, never chewy or tough. The place tends to get crowded and remains busy. Without a doubt, it's the best spot for poke in San Diego.
It's basically a healthier alternative to Chipotle, but with a poke twist! The atmosphere is fantastic and the style is on point. The only thing they could improve is the seating—more seats would be great. If they also had a bar seating area with a nice view of the ocean, it would be absolutely perfect!
Without a doubt, they offer the finest poke sauces and top-notch food quality. I was also impressed by the staff's dedication to maintaining a safe temperature for the fish. They kindly requested that customers waiting in line keep the door closed until there was room for them to enter.
