The food and overall experience at the restaurant were excellent, but our server was quite slow. I understand that the restaurant was busy that night, but it’s not acceptable to leave our table unattended for a full 20 minutes after delivering the dishes. Are servers not supposed to check in on their guests? View all feedback.
What Frank Aponte doesn't like about Pizza Nova Point Loma:
Came here after my competition because we wanted some great pizza, Friends brought us here and we ordered the all meat pizza and some wings. Not to mention we went on saturday and waited roughly 45mins-1 hour Pizza was a bit disappointing(salty), wings were okay. Our dinner was great one suggestion regarding Open Table our reservation did NOT make it over to Pizza Nova. The hostess was gracious and found a table for us, however. If Open Table 's software can be configured to interface with Pizza Nova, then we wouldn 't have had this situation. The hostess said this happens all the time .
The minestrone soup was very good. The Hawaian pizza tho was fair....it was too salty
This place was amazing! My party and I showed up roughly 15 minutes early for our reservations and we were promptly seated. Fresh bread was then delivered to our table and it was heavenly. I have no complaints! The staff and food was wonderful, the view is breathtaking, and the environment was perfect! Definitely reccomend!
The pasta and pizza were the best we have ever had!
The restaurant has a great location, right on the water. Our party of 8, though, ended up in a back corner, half of us facing a blank wall, the others barely able to enjoy that view, so that was a little disappointing. The food, though, was great. The pizza was delicious (had the white pepperoni pizza), the lasagna was good, ceasar salad was tasty. It's a solid value... not cheap, but not expensive. Our total was about $200 for eight of us with two pizzas, a couple entrees, appetizers, and a couple desserts. Service was very solid... friendly and efficient, though the drinks could have been refilled a bit more quickly. We'll go back, for sure.
