Plates tasted pretty authentic considering not in Old Towne...better than a few we've been to there. LOVED the chips queso; could go just for that. Great views and atmosphere. Moderately priced. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Miguel's Cocina:
Please note that I made a reservation for 4 people as there were 4 adults and my 8 month old. The hostess was a little condescending that I didn't put 5 down for my reservation stating that my baby counts in the number. I had never really heard or been told that before so just an FYI for any one reserving with babies. View all feedback.
Great ambience. Chips, salsa and queso are delicious and got us off to a good start. However, once our entrées arrived, it went downhill. I got crispy, Ahi tacos, and the Ahi was overcooked and the tacos, overall, lacked flavor. Two others in our party ordered the red snapper, but wished they had not, due to the lack of flavor and the fish being piled with a green, flavorless sauce. My husband ordered the shrimp quesadillas, described it as “meh”, and said he wouldn't order it, again. None of us would order anything any of these dishes, again, and because of the lackluster experience with the food, we will not be repeat customers.
Decent Mexican food. I'm sure there's probably better in San Diego-but not with that view! We'll be back for sure.
