Very cute coffee shop in Mission Hills Clairemont area. I can tell people in this neighborhood that they love this place. When I'm here, it's pretty packed, people hang out and study there. The service is very nice, I have many requests for my drink, I do not drink coffee and I am lactose intolerant. They made a almond milk cai tea for me. It's delicious! They are very patient and friendly. I would recommend this pla... View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Humble Bean Cafe:
This small square has outdoor seating and a small parking lot. It has coffee and pastries. I have a hot honey slat rust $6) with oak milk and Pakistani Chai $6) with whole milk. We both? I enjoyed the chai over the latte. It had a nice kick of spices. He said it was his grandma recipe. I had my honey lavender hot and was satisfied with the sweet and espresso level, but my friend got it cold and said something was gon... View all feedback.
Coffee: plain cold brew or one of their crafted lattes, the coffee tastes amazing and is always so smooth. Food: I've gotten almost every food item on the menu now and I've never been the slightest bit disappointed. Service: always prompt, friendly, professional. I've seen a handful of employees here over the last 2 years and every one of them have had a great attitude and smile.Ambiance: small spot but quiet enough to get work done, casual enough to have a conversation with a friend and not feel like you're being loud. Favorite coffee spot in San Diego for 2 years now!
1000% improvement. Since the last time I've been, this cafe has changed its inside decor and cleaned up the area. It is so much more spacious and cozier. I commend the owner for making these improvements. I got the Pakistani Chai and Açaí bowl. The chai was nice, subtext sweet and creamy. The Açaí bowl was a bit tart, I don't think they blend with bananas or milk alternative. The staff wasn't as friendly either this time. Regardless, I still change my rating for the awesomeness of the owner.
Quaint, cozy, down to earth. Coffee options from your good ole basic brew to Turkish, Pakistan, and Vietnamese coffee.Oh and grab your self and avocado toast or better yet Grandpa's grilled cheese
Oooh! The new Saffron Chai here is amazing. The blent spices and the aroma hits totally different. Would have had multiple if the quantity weren't this big!
Update review: I came here again today with the caffeine crawl tour. We tried their tiramisu coffee, it was super super delicious!!!! Not too sweet kind of light but still very flavorful. We also tried the Turkish coffee, you can feel the spices and their special recipe in it. I think this place is a real hidden gem. They also have their own home made almond milk and oatmilk. Come to check it out!Previous review: Very cute coffee shop in Mission hills Clairemont area. I can tell people in this neighborhood love this place.
