I absolutely love Gor Gai! It's one of my favorite restaurants. The vegan drunken noodles with mock chicken were actually my first vegan meal, and they convinced me that I could embrace a vegan lifestyle. I ordered the yellow chicken curry and unfortunately, the chicken didn’t taste right. At first, I thought it was just me, but a few hours later, I became very ill. I ended up going to urgent care because I couldn’t stop using the bathroom — it was coming out in both directions. The Aubergine wasn't great. The dish was quite basic, and the sauce was just a mix without much flavor.
I absolutely fell in love with the coconut soup! It’s delicious, with just a hint of spice, and still incredibly satisfying.
The service was friendly, and the wait time was reasonable. The food was absolutely delicious! I particularly appreciated being asked about my preferred level of spiciness (on a scale of 1-10). My order had the perfect amount of heat.
I live in 4S ranch and I've never been here, so I thought why not. It'll be my only time. The food wasn't terrible, but it wasn't good either. They were so busy that the kids worked there. The phone ringed off the hook and there were so many takeout orders ready It was crazy. I put my order on the phone and when I came home, I realized they gave us the wrong protein. We asked for chickens and got shrimps.... Again I think it's a little overpriced for the quality of food. There are much better connections options nearby, but I'm sure this place would do in a pinch.
Absolutely love the food!!! However they drastically cut down the serving size- when I ordered the curry yesterday. The container was 1/2 full. When spoke to the manager- got to the know that that was their serving size. I order food From there pretty much every week. It is usually 3/4 full. So felt a bit disappointed ?
