Amazing again! Delicious ramen sushi. Complex tastes and great service, which these days is hard to find! Every trip to San Diego BeShock is a MUST!!! Introduced 5 newbies to the restaurant in two separate trips during my 4 day stay! Amadeus is wonderful, go see him behind the bar! View all feedback.
What Tomasa Hintz doesn't like about Beshock Ramen East Village:
Not great. Edible. No depth of flavor. Wayyyyy over priced for what you get. You want some hot sauce, it costs a dollar for a tiny bit. Want some veg like bok chocolate, another 1.50. One app, one Ramen, and tap water over 30 bucks! I won't be returning.Food: 2/5 View all feedback.
Beautiful restaurant in downtown. Service and atmosphere were great. Stopd after visiting the zoo and was very satisfied with our meals. Offer Sake through the bottle and quality of food is on point! Rindsporn and sushi with fried onions and truffle oil were recommended. Not disappointed!
Loved the sushi, the spicy ramen was great, a tasty old-fashioned and solid service! My wife enjoyed it so much, we visited twice on our (5 days) trip to SD.
The first time here. Beautiful atmosphere, outdoor seats with heating, dog friendly, with beautiful street view. Good menu items, ramen, sushi, boiled items. Your sushi menu must be extended, but the ones we tried were delicious. Green tea was good, variety of wines and a large list of Sake. I tried the 9 head Dragon Sake on the basis of my waiter recommendation and it was great. Service was very friendly n professional. Lucia answered our questions very well and took care of us. Look at these photos and give them a try. They won't be disappointed.
Two. Sometimes in and always good experience from food to service. The purple drink is called Falling for Ube, which tastes like regular Mojito with a touch of Ube. I also had the Takoyaki and lunch special A pig bunny set and a ram (beshock umami ramen) I enjoyed very much.
BESHOCK Ramen is shockingly amazing! I came here while I was on vacation with a craving for noods. The downside of the location is the parking, since it is downtown. We got lucky with parking and seating when we went for lunch on a Saturday. Karaage 5/5 perfectly crisp and moist. Handrolls and nigiri 5/5 courtesy from the kitchen/owner. Can't go wrong with it. Tonkotsu Black Ramen 5/5 I love that they use thick noodles. The thicker, the better! The broth was flavorful, and the egg was perfectly marinated. Flavor of Aichi sake 5/5 I'm not much of a drinker, but all of my friends said that this was, hands down, the best sake they've had. They also mentioned it was the smoothest sake. Fun fact, the owner's face is on the label. Overall, I would highly recommend anyone to come here to get your noods craving fixed. I would like to come back and try more ramen.
