San Angelo’s BBQ scene is highlighted by a restaurant offering both hits and misses. The brisket, often praised for its smoky, flavorful seasoning, delights many, though some find it dry or tough. The standout “Jail Break” sandwich—an unconventional blend of peanut butter, jelly, and brisket—surprises and satisfies adventurous eaters. Sides like crispy coleslaw and tasty corn complement the meats well. Service receives mixed reviews, with friendly staff but occasional lapses in attentiveness. While some find the pricing steep for portion sizes, the inviting atmosphere and unique menu items make it a worthy stop for BBQ enthusiasts seeking something different.

The highlights of our visit were definitely the BBQ sauce, which was outstanding, and the delicious jalapeño corn. On a more average note, the chopped brisket sandwich was okay, though we were hoping to try the pulled pork but ended up with all chopped brisket sandwiches instead. The beans and potato salad were what you’d find at just about any BBQ place. Overall, we plan to return and sample different meats because it's definitely worth another visit.

I highly recommend trying the "Jail Break" sandwich. At first, I was hesitant because it features a strange combination of peanut butter and jelly on a toasted bun with brisket. However, once I finally gave it a chance, I was completely hooked! Now, I make it a point to stop by and get one every time I'm in San Angelo.

Update: I tried the Jailbreak sandwich, and it's fantastic! You really have to taste it to understand just how good it is.

I had lunch at this restaurant today and it was fantastic! If you haven't been here yet, you're really missing something special. It's one of those hidden gems that people visiting the area shouldn't overlook. The meat is incredibly tender and perfectly seasoned. The staff is also very friendly. The brisket is absolutely amazing, and I’m quite particular about my brisket. I also highly recommend the jalapeno cream corn; I couldn't get enough of it! I'm so full right now and can't wait to return. I highly recommend this place!

This is some of the best brisket I've ever tried, and I've had plenty! I ordered the sliced brisket sandwich, and it was packed with meat. I highly recommend it!
