Awesome Japanese takeout lunch spot! Got half chicken curry special for $12. Chicken was fall off the bone delicious and came with puffed rice, carrots, yam, hard boiled egg and, of course, sweet and savory Japanese curry. Everything was super tasty and the portion for the price was generous. Owners were very nice and the service was fast. No photos because I ate it too fast!

Incredible value food that tastes pretty good. The old man and lady running the place are just a delight to speak to. Note they only accept cash or Venmo (since credit cards take too much of a cut).

Just randomly bumped into the tiny restaurant takeaway shop and tried their Monday lunch special. It is Beef Curry in Indonesian style. Only 13 bucks. Last night I was at ChinaLive, a fancy Chinese restaurant which was highly rated by Times in 2018. But I think this beef curry beats them for sure. The owner knows almost every customer and their preference. Jokes around and really relaxed feeling. The casual conversation makes you wonder it is a Yo Yo Family or something. This is a role model for small family run food business. As I was writing this comment, it has been a relatively long queue all the way to the street. Unfortunately I live in Sweden so I wouldn't have chance to come here often as my workday lunch go-to places. But I will definitely visit it again next time I am in SF.

I absolutely love this place! I visited for the first time this morning and was delighted by how delicious and reasonably priced the food was. Our total came to $35, including tip, for a half-size udon, a full teriyaki plate, 12 sushi pieces, and two drinks. The teriyaki was fantastic! The staff (possibly the owners?) were incredibly friendly, and we can't wait to return! Just a heads up: they only accept cash or Venmo.
