What Asor A doesn't like about Wing Lee:
Food good but they overcharge you if you speak English. They charged me $10 per lunch plate when it's clearly $8.50 on their sign. I actually understand Chinese so I heard their colleagues questioning the lady who charged me. I didn't say anything because it's a couple dollars but shady and racist. View all feedback.
I love it! This is my favorite place! I love the fried rice and duck. It is absolutely amazing !
I 've been coming to Clement street and Wing Lee Bakery for dim sum since I was a child!Once, my father brought me a pink box with 6 baked BBQ pork buns inside for my 12th birthday! These were my absolute favorite food at that time!Because I lived in San Jose, and he took all day to bring my birthday surprise , he said I couldn 't eat them! He said he was afraid they might have spoiled! With out a doubt the most disappointing birthday gift I have ever (never received! I don 't remember many of the other birthday gifts my father gave me, but this memory always brings a smile to my face!Whatever I might say about my father 's foibles and quirks, he did introdue me to the best Dim Sum on Clement Street!Thank you Dad!Recommendations: BBQ pork buns, both baked and steamed (of course! , combination buns and chicken buns (both steamed , shrimp dumpling, pork xiu mai, shark fin gao (called so for the shape not the contents , pot stickers, and chicken skewers. They have many other items to choose from, but these are my recommendations if you 've never been here before. Bring cash no credit cards accepted!
Always a line on Sundays during the farmers market! Their baked bbq pork buns are delicious, as well as their chicken sticky rice. Those and the radish cakes are my go-to items! Of course all the small dim sum items like har gow and siu mai are great too.Cash only so don’t forget to grab some at one of the nearby atms before you go :
Food is always hot and fresh. Prices have gone up. It was close to $4 per order of dim sum.
Great dim sum for solid prices. Visited during late lunch time, and the wait wasn't too bad. Be sure to bring cash, since they don't take card. There's a big variety of menu items you can order to go. I got the shrimp dumplings and shu mai. Both were juicy and tasty. The portion is generous, and they're rich with meat inside. They are great with black vinegar and a side of cucumbers. The BBQ chicken skewers are also flavorful. There's a smoky, sweet taste to the tender chicken. I like the slices of grilled veggies in them. A bit oily, but overall pretty good.
