The bar / tavern had screaming, loud customers on a day when there was no one around. Really a tasting menu, teen plate, teen servings, bad value for money. The waitress told me that the green peppers in my clam chowder were mild - they weren't and had to spit out with a burning mouth. Really embarrassing when I was treated. Instead, they gave me asparagus. Your only vegetable. They didn't notice that my water glass was empty and I had to request it. Backless benches to sit in the tavern / bar, but you can request an uncomfortable chair. Not a place where you, like me, eat a lot of healthy protein and vegetables. I don't like leaving a restaurant where I feel bloated with too much food, but I don't want to go hungry either. The coffee was good after the meal.

The Brussels sprouts dish had very few Brussels sprouts and had a bitter taste with unbalanced flavors. The spaetzle was extremely dry and seemed reheated or overcooked. Furthermore, the waitress paid more attention to my male companion and ignored me, which was frustrating. The cozy atmosphere I had previously enjoyed was also absent. I do not plan on coming back here again.

We sampled the white, rosé, and red wines, all of which were delightful, well-balanced, and not overly sweet. The food was exceptional, with the exception of the wings which were just average. The menu changes frequently, but we particularly enjoyed the cheese plate, the stuffed mini peppers with brisket, and the salad featuring Early Girl tomatoes topped with a delectable black olive and almond crumble and goat cheese. The waitress/manager was friendly and knowledgeable, providing top-notch service. Despite not being a local, I would definitely return to this restaurant if given the chance.
