Waterbar - San Andreas
Waterbar
Description
The restaurant in question seems to have a mixed bag of reviews. Some customers were impressed by the inventive and nicely presented dishes, while others found the food to be average at best. The service also received mixed feedback, with some praising it and others feeling dismissed by their server. The atmosphere and location, right by the water with beautiful views, were highlights for many patrons. However, inconsistency seems to be an issue, with some experiencing subpar meals compared to previous visits. Overall, it seems that while some diners had great experiences, others were left wanting more consistency in their meals and service.

Super excited to visit based on the reviews and recommendations however, our expectations fell short with service. We had a group of 6 so the tip was automatically added, which is more than understandable but felt because it was included that service was poor. Our waitress Nicole never came to check on us or offered to refill our drinks alcoholic and non-alcoholic. We also ordered bread for the table (which was an added cost and we had to ask for it after our meals had already come. The food was good, I wouldn’t say there was anything special about it. The lobster bisque was delicious but it was a bit salty. Scallops were perfectly cooked but the accompaniments were lack luster. A tiny bit of butternut squash puree and a ton of lentils, too many to finish. Overall, it was a bit of a sad let down. Hopefully there is room for improvement for future guests.
Delicious oysters. Attentive, but not overbearing, service. Great location. I’ve been there many times and will continue going back.
We always have a great dining experience at Waterbar. It can be noisy at times, but the views of the Bay and fun and energetic atmosphere make up for it. Waterbar is a chic place to eat and the service is impeccable (Caesar was our waiter last night). We had porterhouse steak, chilled main lobster and endless martinis and old fashioneds. My husband and I recommend it.
The food was exceptional! Unfortunately our server sold us on $300 appetizers that we didn't order and then didn't compromise on removing anything from the bill. Strangest restaurant experience any of us had ever had and no one was prepared for the bill despite us asking several times where the additional food was coming from
