I will only eat here if I have an absolute craving for something sushi-like and this was the only place open in the vicinity. Can’t talk about the apps. But, the sushi is seriously not good. The menu makes it out to be so much more than what you are dealt. View all feedback.

So we got home from a night football game, starving… After getting off the 1-Muni, we went to look for a place to eat dinner at 9:30pm. We didn’t have to go far! Sushi Rock is open til 12:30am on Fridays and Saturdays. The food was decent, although, I didn’t particularly like their Sake (smoked salmon) – a little too salty. I didn’t try any of the rolls, but they looked good. There are a few originals…like a mango tuna roll. I’ll have to go back and try some of those. But the “rock box” was a lot of food and a good price and I was very hungry. Another bonus – large sake collection and 3 drinks for the price of 2 after 10pm!
I have only eaten at Sushi Rock for lunch so I can’t really judge the nighttime atmosphere. Nothing really stands out about this restaurant food-wise, so I wouldn’t rate it any higher than an average San Francisco sushi joint.
Solidly mediocre sushiI found the rice to be a bit on the tough side pretty grainy.
Never really make it to SF, but this place is a gemThe combination of food, drinks, jams and company made it a dream come true.
