Russian Renaissance- San Francisco

The reservation (for Saturday 6:30pm) was confirmed but the restaurant was closed when we arrived. The second star is just because this experience helped us to find nearby Red Tavern which we really enjoyed.

I suggest you not visit RRR because they mistreat customers. If you really want to go, and if you end up making an OpenTable reservation, do yourself a favor and call them ahead of time and make sure they honor it. I should 've believed what other one-star reviews were saying; instead I learned this lesson the hard way. My friend and I live outside of SF city and had to spend to Lyft in, only to find out they were closed for a private party that night. No one notified us ahead of time; what 's worse, I received a message a day earlier asking me to confirm my booking. What a joke. The owner was extremely uncooperative and kept saying it 's all OpenTable 's fault . Of course she didn 't make up for our Lyft costs. If you actually care about your customers and you 're aware that this is an ongoing issue, you should take actions to resolve it with OpenTable. Well well, if you decide that this is how you 're going to treat your customers, then I 've got nothing to say. I was very much looking forward to trying out RRR and it was going to my first time trying Russian cuisines. This has all been ruined. I 'm not going back to RRR, and maybe not any other Russian restaurants in the near term.

Huge fan of RR. Been coming here since I was a little kid. Super stoked they are open for general dining and not just banquets these days. It's one of the yummiest in town, while being authentic and a great value. I always call in advance to make sure they're not doing a banquet out of habit though. ;

Eating was very good, especially in house style roasted kartoffels, blink with meat, hering on some thin sliced black brot with red planks and green planks on the top and other delicious dishes blown. beautiful decoration and good service!

The first time came here, mentioned by yelp! great eating, friendly customer service, moderate prices range, great live music when we were there (there was a kind party occupied the half of the restaurant). will return to any event at the next visit.
